History of Holiday Homes
The second and third generations of Riegels are “hands-on owners” and strive to make Holiday Homes the “Best Manufactured Housing Community in the High Desert. "
The first generation of the family, John Riegel and Pat Lyons, started developing mobile home parks and apartments in Barstow in the 1950’s. Before then they had developed and operated the first drive-in theater in the high desert.
In 2013, the owners installed a new solar electric generation field to provide a “Green” source of electricity for all residents of Holiday Homes. This produces most of the electricity used annually.
